Out of curiosity, I have been going back through my iTunes records and looking at what songs I played at different times to get me through the last 5 years of university study.

Here's what I've learned about my music taste:
- I don't appear to like one form of music more than others.
- I have the music genre of indie music to thank for keeping me sane during study and assignment work, as well as helping me get to sleep at night.
- I started out with a lot of 90s pop music on there, courtesy of the girl I lived next to in a hall of residence in first year who said it was "unbearably sad" that I had come to university with no music on my laptop and so (admittedly illegally) gave me all her iTunes songs and also loaned me some CDs to copy any songs that took my fancy.
- I cannot escape good songs like "Living on a Prayer" or John Farnham's "Two Strong Hearts" or "Your the Voice". They always seem to have a place in my music taste no matter the year or season.
- I can't listen to Owl City without wanting to do some kind of art. Hopefully listening to some Owl City over this summer break will help me get back into drawing (or at least completing some of the many incomplete ones I have tucked away in various places).

I only really use Itunes for my ipod, mostly I make playlists on youtube, although I try to theme them somehow so that the switchover between tunes isnt too harsh..
